Good morning everyone!
I have been at the Alcan field everyday checking on it and looking over the wet, muddy situation! Due to the wet conditions last week and the play of our league and Rugby last week after we used the field, it has been deemed "unplayable"! All KDTFL games are cancelled for Week 2 this week! I spend Sunday afternoon adding extra seed and fertilizers on the field with my brother in-law from the soccer league. They to have cancelled their games this week. I have Unity Sod coming today to roll the field.
This whole field issue has been bothering me since we played and I apologize to all teams for making the wrong decision to play last week. My eagerness got the best of me to get the league started and for that we are not playing this week. And of course the weather has been wonderful every since last Thursday! Even with the nice weather the field all around the pitch and city fields are still extremely wet and some fields are still unplayable with the amount of water the area has received. Moving forward if I can find fields for tomorrow and Wednesday I will but it is hard to find fields that have lights.
If any one knows someone who has connections who has fields that we could possibly play on please let me know!
